ALJP's Jocelyn Prince to Speak at 2024 TCG National Conference in Chicago

Kyle Croft Appointed as Executive Director of Visual AIDS

Dr. Lauren Britt-Elmore Joins The Flea Theater as Executive Director

The search for The Flea's next executive director was led by the values-driven recruiting firm ALJP Consulting, and the theatre company collaborated with members from all levels of their organization to come to a consensus, including staff, consultants, artists, and funders.

Arts Council Names Hope Chávez As New Executive Director

 After an inclusive nationwide search led by ALJP Consulting and a dedicated group of board, staff, and community members, the Arts Council of Greater New Haven is excited to announce that Hope Chávez has been named as our new Executive Director starting September 5th.  

Noor Theatre’s New Executive Director: Ariana Sarfarazi

Aiyana Cunningham Named New Managing Director

Will Davis Is Rattlestick Theater's Next Artistic Director

Jocelyn Prince, owner and Principal of ALJP, said of the search, in a statement: “Will is a transformative leader in the American theatre. We are thrilled to have facilitated this historic appointment.”

Rattlestick Artistic Director Daniella Topol to Step Down for Nursing Career

 The search for Topol’s replacement is being led by ALJP Consulting, a firm that aims to create and foster more diverse and inclusive spaces for both artists and administrators.  

Patricia McGregor Named Artistic Director of NY Theatre Workshop

 The hiring of McGregor, who will assume the role full-time in August, follows a yearlong search led by ALJP Consulting, a Black-owned nonprofit leadership search firm, and a dedicated search committee of artists, staff, and board trustees. 

Arts Administrators Of Color Network Names Karla Estela Rivera Executive Director

 Rivera's selection comes at a pivotal moment for Arts Administrators of Color Network. The organization began a strategic planning process in 2021 alongside ALJP Consulting, resulting in a new strategic plan that was subsequently adopted in January 2022.  

Kelvin Dinkins Jr. Named ART Executive Director

 Dinkins’s selection concludes a national search led by a 10-member committee composed of ART trustees, advisors, and staff, co-led by Andrew Ory, board chair and co-chair of the Executive Director search committee, and Lori E. Gross, associate provost for arts and culture at Harvard University, along with Al Heartley and his team at ALJP Consulting. 

Berkeley’s Aurora Theatre Company Announces 2022-23 Season After Appointing New Managing Director

 Francesca Gabourel will succeed Julie Saltzman Kellner, who left in June after 11 years, as its fifth managing director, the Berkeley company and its board of directors announced last week. Gabourel, who officially started the role March 7, was chosen after a four-month-long search by a committee of Aurora board members in partnership with the Chicago arts consulting firm ALJP Consulting.  

Taibi Magar, Tyler Dobrowsky to Co-Lead Philadelphia Theatre Company

 For the nationwide search, PTC utilized the services of ALJP Consulting. ALJP is a search firm that has set out to reimagine the arts and culture sector, placing inclusion and equity at the heart of what they do. 

Francesca Gabourel Named New Managing Director of Berkeley's Aurora Theatre Company

 Gabourel's appointment comes after a four-month-long nationwide search helmed by arts consulting firm ALJP Consulting. ALJP worked in partnership with a search committee composed of Aurora board members, led by former Bay Area actor Lance Gardner. 

Laura Burgos Announced as Director of Marketing and Communications of Oregon Shakespeare Festival

 OSF engaged ALJP Consulting, which centers equity, diversity, and inclusion in its work, to lead the search for the new Director of Marketing and Communications. Of Burgos's appointment, Jocelyn Prince of ALJP said, "Laura Burgos represents the future for performing arts organizations in the United States.  

Remy Bumppo and Teatro Vista Name New Artistic Directors

 Sandys announced his intention to leave the artistic director’s post back in mid-December of 2020 (he remains a member of the ensemble), and the company hired ALJP Consulting to help find his replacement. Lyons, who hasn’t directed at Remy Bumppo in the past, found that the “brilliantly structured process” leading to her hiring meant that everyone’s voices were heard. 

Culture Shift: How EST Is Becoming the Change They Want to See

 Now the board is composed mostly of women of color. This year, EST also worked with ALJP Consulting on transforming the makeup of the board so that the company’s DEI efforts are being embraced and led from that level.
