No. We are a mission driven for-profit firm. Jocelyn Prince and Al Heartley co-founded ALJP Consulting in the Summer of 2019 to fill a need in the arts and culture sector for consulting firms dedicated to creating an ecosystem that looks like the world in which we live.  We put inclusion and equity at the heart of our consulting practice.


Sometimes. Our prices are consistent with the market rate for search and planning services. Fees are based on the size of each organization's operating budget, with an average price of $50,000 for executive searches, $45,000 for strategic planning work and $20,000 for board coaching and development. We do offer pro bono and reduced rate services to a limited number of culturally specific companies and organizations focused on traditionally marginalized communities. 


Due to the conflict of interests with our search services, we unfortunately cannot offer individualized coaching to candidates. Our firm is incorporated in Illinois, but serves organizations nationwide. We are a fully remote company with consultants, associates, advisors and staff based across the United States in cities like Chicago, New York City and Boston.  We work with clients in a hybrid way, including virtual meetings and in person site visits. #thefutureisremote
